Action on P3 schools

Two motions calling for transparency on P3 schools will be presented to the Regina Catholic School Board on Monday at 7 p.m., 3120 14th Ave.
Motion 1 – will be based on this motion passed by the Regina Public School electors at the Regina Public annual meeting last Tuesday, and by the Saskatoon Public School board at one of their regular meetings in December.
Motion 2 – will be similar to this one, also passed by Regina Public electors.
We’re asking citizens across the province to develop and pass motions on P3 schools in whatever democratic forums are available to them.
Please come out and speak in favour of these motions. Anyone can speak at an annual meeting – you don’t have to be a Catholic school supporter.
If you are a Catholic school supporter, you have the added privilege of being able to vote. If you know other Catholic school supporters, encourage them to come.
This is important! Saskatchewan’s schools are about to be delivered into private hands, where the normal rules for transparency, accountability and local control will go out the window.
