About

Who we are

RealRenewal is a coalition of parents and community members who value quality, sustainable neighbourhood schools. We first met in December 2007 in response to the Regina Public School Board’s 10-Year Renewal Plan to close up to 16 inner city schools, placing nearly half of elementary students on buses. Today we are a registered non-profit corporation that works to promote improved public accountability in educational decision-making.

Whether it’s a school closure or supports for special needs learning, we want the voices of parents and community members to be heard, respected and acted upon. We strive to achieve this through well-founded research, public education and organizational support to affected communities. We are networked with education advocates across Canada.

Please contact us at realrenewal@gmail.com if your school community needs help!
